For anything dangerous, call 073 087 5986 now. Otherwise tell us what's happening.
Your request has been sent. We'll be in touch shortly — for anything urgent, call 073 087 5986.
Burning smells, sparking sockets, a shock from a tap, a DB board that trips and will not reset, a business without power while the neighbours have theirs. These are the calls our 24-hour line exists for. Marthunis and Ruben answer the phone themselves, tell you what to switch off, and give you a realistic arrival time.
We are based on the East Rand and cover Boksburg, Benoni, Kempton Park, Germiston, Bedfordview and Alberton, with Sandton across the highway. Emergency work is done to the same SANS 10142 standard as everything else: we make the installation safe first, restore what can safely be restored, and come back in daylight for anything that needs parts rather than patching it in the dark.

If any of these describe your situation, switch off the main switch if it is safe to reach and call us now.
At the DB board, a socket, a switch or an appliance point. Heat at a connection is how electrical fires start.
Visible sparks or a crackling, buzzing sound from the board or a fitting.
The earthing has failed and something is live that should not be. Do not touch it again.
Cables cut by contractors, storm-damaged overhead lines, sockets pulled off the wall, chewed cable in the roof.
Flooded rooms with floor-level sockets, a leaking geyser over the DB, a roof leak onto a light fitting.
Main switch or earth leakage keeps tripping with no obvious faulty appliance, leaving the property dark.
Neighbours have power, the meter has units, but you have nothing — a fault at your supply, main switch or board.

Once on site, our first job is to make it safe: isolate the fault, secure exposed wiring, and restore power to the circuits that are safe to run. Many after-hours calls trace back to an ageing board that has been warning its owners for months — if that sounds familiar, a DB board upgrade is the cheapest emergency you will ever have.
